The Thin Line Between Style and Sloppy... don't ever let yourself "GO"

I am a firm believer in dressing the way that you feel. My outfits all tell tales of how I'm feeling for the day. If I'm in jeans, a screen tee, and my combat boots, I'm saying that i'm comfortable yet still on my guard. If you see me wearing pearls, it because I'm actually feeling prissy. But what I CAN TOTALLY NOT STAND IS PEOPLE WHO JUST LOOK A FLAT OUT MESS JUST CAUSE!! Everyone doesn't put all their attention into how they look, and  that's fine, but when leaving your house, you should always make sure that you are still presentable. There is no excuse to just out right look a HOT MESS!! One thing that I hate the most is when people get comfortable in relationships, or get married and have kids and the wife/girlfriend decides not to care about getting her hair done anymore! Like, Forreal?! Do something with yourself! I'm not saying go pay 60$ every two weeks, cause we all can't do that, but even dollar tree has flat irons!
I don't want to sound like I'm bashing anyone for their preference in the up keep of their appearance, but everyone SHOULD take pride in their appearance. This doesn't mean you gotta go spend money on designer things and stuff, but just fix yourself up every once in a while. If not for someone else, do it for yourself. 1st impressions are everything, and so are 2nd and 3rd.. if you look like you just don't care about what you do to yourself, people are gonna think you're depressed of something. So get up and do something to yourself.. no matter what anybody says, appearance DOES MATTER..

I love this picture..as well as this outfit.. earth tones match my skin well, so I believe that is what makes this outfit stand out for me. The colors are calming and go well with the background as well.

I Hate Floral

So, It worked! The floral ensemble came out pretty nice after a few tweaks and purchases from the thrift store! Won't see me stunting floral often though ;)

MY HATE FOR FLORAL

So, I am a member of a Christian group called "Vernon Gordon and Elevated Worship" (vgandew.tumblr.com).. We are pretty known in our area for our different style, and that's thanks to our fabulous stylist, Mr. Louis Dandridge. Now, I know I just said that I love him, but I'm not sure how I feel about him this week... lol. He's making us wear FLORAL, AND I HATE FLORAL!!!
Something about an abundance of flowers makes me wanna throw up! But none the less, I will abide by the rules and forget my hate for a day... Hope my outfit comes out nice.. pics will be posted soon :)

Creativity isn't as hard as it may seem. Patterns and a solid color is sometimes all you need. Polkadotted Blazer, a Blue frilly skirt, a vintage thrift necklace, and some hot heels...

What Fashion Means to Me..

Fashion is more than just the clothes you put on and the accessories you match with it. It's about the characteristics you put along with it. A little bit of sass, and a whole lot of confidence can change an entire outfit. Fashion is a lifestyle for me. I dress how I feel and I feel how I dress. I always want my outfits to tell a story, paint a picture, or create a movie. I believe deeply in the saying that "The clothes don't make a man, a man makes the clothes".

Who says life can't always be this easy?

a simple look.. easy enough to throw on.. fashionable enough to be..well, fashionable. A simple white v-neck tee, a grey blazer, blue leggings, grey tights, sand wedge heels, and a prep handbag.
